Interview Preparation Researching a company before your Interview is scheduled
Wow this blog has grown beyond 50 Interview process Maps of various software companies. Its really exciting to see 50+ images of Various companies,Their interview process etc. Its time for an article on what you gotta do to research about a company before you actually attend their interview face 2 face or the dreaded “personal interview round”.
A recruiter called me to fix an interview with Google last week & this is how I did the research on the company for which I’m going to give an interview.
Know about the Company, its financial condition & opportunity to grow in that Company
Know about the Career stability & Personal growth in that Company
Get to know which Team/Position you are being interviewed for clearly & what are the scope of development in that Team/Position
Get to know if this experience adds more value to your overall Career profile
Get to know the salary offered for such Position in other companies or in that same company from other sources.
Get to know what they expect & what might be asked in Interviews & hows the team & work if possible (Lotsa times this is really hard to know)
OK I’ll share my Google Interview experiences & write in detail about the research I did before the interview & what I experienced when I went through the whole Interview process at Google.
